Whack-a-Mole
Little critters pop out of the holes. Tap them before they hide again. You have 30 seconds.
Press Start, then tap 🐹 for 1 point and 🌟 for 3 points.
How to play
Press Start. For 30 seconds, critters pop up from the nine holes. Tap each one before it ducks back down. A critter is worth 1 point. Sometimes a golden star appears instead, and it is worth 3. As time runs down, they appear faster and hide sooner.
Tips for a higher score
- Watch the middle. Rest your eyes on the center hole. From there you can see all nine holes at once.
- Don’t chase. If a critter is about to hide, let it go and get ready for the next one.
- Use two hands on a phone. Thumbs on both sides cover the board faster than one finger.
- Stars first. When a star and a critter show up together, tap the star.
A classic from the fairground
Games like this began as arcade machines with a soft mallet and wooden moles, and they have been a favorite at fairs and game rooms for decades. The idea is so simple that a child understands it in a second, and so lively that adults keep coming back for “just one more round”.
Good for quick reactions
Spotting a movement and tapping it trains hand-eye coordination and attention. Thirty seconds is short enough for a quick break, and a best score gives you something to beat next time.
